The pre-stack seismic stochastic inversion based on spectrum simulation
View through CrossRef
Summary
With the development of seismic exploration, the seismic inversion technology has developed from post-stack inversion into prestack inversion, which can better reflect the reservoir information. Due to the band limitation nature of seismic data, conventional deterministic inversion methods are unable to meet the needs of current exploration and exploitation demands. Unlike the deterministic inversion, stochastic inversion method solve the inverse problem with an iterative procedure based on stochastic simulations. Compared with the deterministic inversion, stochastic inversion can effectively integrate the high frequency information of well-logging and has a higher resolution. This paper presented a new method of pre-stack seismic stochastic inversion based on FFT-MA spectrum simulation, which is developed from the post-stack inversion to the pre-stack inversion based on Bayesian theory. The rich parameters obtained from the pre-stack inversion are applied for the identification of underground reservoir. The application result indicates that the method not only can obtain relatively high resolution elastic impedance inversion result, but also can extract lithological parameters which are sensitive to the underground oil and gas reservoir, such as Poisson's ratio and Lamé parameters data volume.
