Vojislav P. Nikčević made important contribution to the study of language, during his lifetime. Less known, though not less important, is his work in the field of literary science. Leaving behind valuable works, Vojislav P. Nikčević interpreted the literature of the XX century, Montenegrin, Croatian, Serbian... In 1967 and 1968 prof. dr Vojislav P. Nikčević published papers in the magazine Stvaranje, in which he interpreted the writings of Crnjanski, Desnica, Mijušković. This text provides a metacritical overview of the beginnings of literary-scientific work of Vojislav P. Nikčević.
