Text in the lower right corner: “your wallpaper DESIGNERS www.your wallpaper.se.” The coat test book contains 239 wallpapers with designs of 20 designers, it is the name of the designers that is on the front. Each designer is presented with a photograph and a brief description (see personal history) then follows his/her pattern. All wallpaper patterns in the collections are presented with a colour image, set as a fund wall with a piece of furniture in front, most often a white couch. The Tapets have a very varied look, here are drawings, watercolours, photographs, collages, paper clips, still lifes, etc. The book includes wallpaper from the collections The others, Ma Fleur, Lady of easy and Aloha! by Lisa Bengtsson, Look and drawings by Helene Billgren, Overvegetation, Undervegetation of Malin Björklund, Kalejdo, Systema by Åke Brattberg, Lolitas, Flowers, Klotter, Suburbs by Lots, Urban nature, Everyday graphic, Paint n 'Play by Mrs. Murphy, Flower, Lace, Clover by Oldsjö Hultgren Design, Three elegant ladies, Hatt girls by Gunilla Pontén, Love story, Story of love by Cassandra Rhodin, Wallputters, Close to Cousteau by Jeslose per Waldersten, The sky is the limit, Scandinavian forrests, Darsky by Jonny von Wallström. The wallpaper is made of paper containing polyester fibres and does not shrink at set. All wallpapers are printed digitally by the company Your Wallpaper in Stockholm. The designers have put a price on the pattern that each customer pays, which varies between 1.500 - 14.000 kr + VAT for the wallpaper in the collection. To this is added a manufacturing cost of 495kr/m. The designers selected for your wallpaper DESIGNERS would not have worked on wallpaper before. The company wanted to develop innovative patterns by turning to e.g. illustrators, fashion designers, photographers, furniture architects, artists; creative professionals who are not used to thinking in reports. According to project manager Malin Ehlin, many thought it was useful to shape wallpaper, something that people choose to surround themselves for some time. Tapet patterns are signed by the printing of the designer’s signature in the wallpaper. The patterns are adapted to the customer, the size can be changed, the pattern parts moved, reversed and the colors changed. The idea of design wallpaper arose when many furnishers and private individuals turned to Your Wallpaper to look for designs, and the company then realized that they need an archive of interesting, funny, form-strong wallpapers from which customers can choose. People don’t settle for their own creativity, to submit their own photos, drawings etc as a basis for wallpaper making, but want wallpaper shaped by unnamed designers. / Maria Maxén 2009-04-24
