Rosh Ha-‘Ayin

In September 2014, a salvage excavation was conducted south of Rosh
Ha-'Ayin (Permit No. A-7219; map ref. 197596-791/665145-267; Fig. 1), after
mechanical equipment revealed ancient remains in an antiquities inspection
prior to the installation of a sewer line. The excavation, undertaken on
behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and funded by the Ministry of
Construction and Housing, was directed by D. Shachar (field photography),
with the assistance of Y. Amrani (administration), J. Marcus (antiquities
inspection) and M. Kahan (surveying and drafting).
