During May 2012, a trial excavation was conducted in the Pisgat Tal
neighborhood of Rosh Ha-'Ayin (Permit No. A-6514; map ref.
196601-52/666053-77), prior to construction. The excavation, undertaken on
behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and underwritten by the law
office of Yehonatan Meshulam, was directed by J. Marcus, with the assistance
of Y. Amrani (administration), M. Kunin and A. Hajian (surveying and
drafting), A. Peretz (field photography) and S. Yehielov (preliminary
antiquities inspections).
