During June-August 2006, a salvage excavation was conducted at Rosh
Pinna, next to the reconstructed compound (Permit No. A-4800; map ref. NIG
25027/76403; OIG 20027/26403), in the wake of building plans. The
excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and
financed by Mr. M. Zer, was directed by M. Hartal (photography), with the
assistance of A. Mokary and O. Zingboym (area supervison), Y. Ya'aqobi
(administration), A. Hajian and T. Kornfeld (surveying and drafting) and
workmen from al-Mughar and Ayelet Ha-Shahar.
