The monograph is focused on the Russian diaspora of post-WW2 New York and its bright representatives: Mikhail Verbov, Ivan Elagin, Vladimir Odinokov, Leonid Rzhevsky and other famous writers and artists. Hollerbach’s memoir essays also unveil the mystery of his development as an artist and introduces the reader to the author’s understanding of art’s general principles.
