A bust length portrait, facing front, of an elderly artist, with short brown thin hair, receding at the front and sides. He has wispy sideburns, and a thick grey moustache, and wears round wire-framed glasses. He wears a white shirt, dark jacket and dark tie with gold tie-ring. At the bottom right hand corner is possibly the edge of a canvas. The sitter was Hon. Treasurer and one of the founder members of RMS [? Royal Miniaturist Society?]
