Domestic District in the City of Amenhotep III in Western Thebes

The third season of the Egyptian mission to the so-called “Golden City,” known in the time of Amenhotep III by the name “The Dazzling Aten” exposed the remains of domestic structures dating to the reign of that king. The city itself was first discovered in 2021 by a team headed by Zahi Hawass. In this article, the architectural style of three of twenty-three excavated houses is discussed in an attempt to shed light on the activities conducted within them, and also present the artifacts recovered from them.
