Breast image of King Friedrich Wilhelm III in profile to the left, on the occasion of his rise to the trone on 16 November 1797, which is noted on the sheet. In uniform. The upward view is an expression of the hope placed in the young ruler. An elaborately framed in a round, attached to a square bracket, a laurel rland above it.
The draftswoman of the template could be a Dilettante, otherwise not artistically detectable, W[ ilhelmine] of Borch, whose father was a Prussian officer in Potsdam and thus had access to the courtyard.
Present to the Märkische Museum by Gustav Stäger, 1905.
