Abstract
Apollonia Salbake, Caria, modern Medet, Turkey, 10 km northeast of Tabai (Tavas), was a Carian city on the Harpasos River, a tributary of the Maeander. The city took its epithet from Mount Salbakos to the south. The city is known from coins and inscriptions of the Hellenistic and Roman imperial age.
