White and blue vase

A narrow vase with an interesting shape, hand-made of crystal glass, the so-called cristallo, although opaque. Made in the 1960's / 1970's on the Italian island of Murano. The author is Carlo Moretti - one of the most outstanding Italian designers of art glass. Marble series. The marble pattern characteristic of Moretti is created by red paint that is spilled all over the surface. Body tinted glass. Blue glass, also known as cobalt glass, is made with the use of cobalt and copper oxides.The vase is signed with a sticker Carlo Moretti Murano, Italia Height 24 cm, Inlet width 4 cm base width 5.5 cm.Carlo Moretti founded his company in 1958.
