Province of Yamato: Tatsuta river and Tatsuta hills

Hiroshigehitsu Hi70 leaves, here: Leaf 02 Yamato 大様 is one of the five old provinces of Kinai Hi. In Yamato, now the district of Nara, until the end of the 8th century, the first capitals of Japan lay. From here the founding of the state started. The river Tatsutagawa, a tributary of the Yamatogawa, is famous for its shores covered with maple trees (momiji) and the autumnal coloration of the forests.
