Development of Anti-Cathodic Disbonding Epoxy Coating

A corrosion-resistant epoxy coating formulation has been developed with optimized resin, curing agent, and pigment/binder ratios for cathodic disbonding resistance. After 48 h in a cathodic disbondment test (–1.5 V vs. saturated calomel electrode in 65 °C seawater), the coating exhibited excellent cathodic disbondment resistance performance.
