The Batal′noe settlement, the Batal′noe graveyard, and the NW Graveyard of Batal′noe 1 (Republic of Crimea, Leninsky Region)

В июне – октябре 2017 г. близ с. Батальное (Ленинский р-н Республики Крым) отделом сохранения археологического наследия Института археологии РАН проведены спасательные археологические исследования территории объекта культурного наследия поселение Батальное 1, а также могильника Батальное и северо-западного могильника Батальное 1. В ходе работ на поселении Батальное 1 было раскопано 19625 кв.м. Открыто 458 хозяйственных ям, пять жилищ, очаг и водосборник. Поселение датируется втор. пол. XVIII в. Кроме того, на площади 3275 кв. м исследована южная часть могильника Батальное 1. В ходе работ выявлено 152 погребения. Могильник датируется XIX в. На северо-западном могильнике Батальное 1 на площади 1650 кв. м раскопано 36 погребений. Over June to October 2017, a team from the Preservation of Archaeological Heritage department of the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, undertook studies close to Batal′noe village, at the area of the Batal′noe I settlement, and also at the graveyard of Batal′noe and the NW Graveyard of Batal′noe 1. During the study at Batal′noe I, 19,625 square metres of ground was excavated. These works revealed 458 household pits, five dwellings, fireplaces, and a water storage pool. The settlement dates back to the second half of the 18th century. Further excavations, totally 3275 square metres, were made at the graveyard of Batal′noe-1, which was dated to the 19th century. The North-Western graveyard of Batal′noe was similarly excavated over an area of 1650 square metres, revealing 36 burials.
