Monitoring Information System As A Medium For The Implementation Of Ispo Standards In Independent Palm Oil Plantations Using The R&D Method
View through CrossRef
Abstract
Palm oil is an essential commodity for Indonesia’s economy, significantly impacting both national and regional growth. However, uncontrolled expansion of palm oil plantations has led to serious environmental issues, raising concerns for importing countries. Product certification assures consumers of sustainably produced palm oil. In response, Indonesia established the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certification body, demonstrating its commitment to addressing these challenges. Currently, the achievement rate for ISPO implementation is only 37%, with independent smallholders at about 5%. This research aims to create a Monitoring Information System to support the implementation of ISPO standards in palm oil plantations using the Research and Development methodology. If the Oil Palm Smallholder who has met 95% of mandatory requirements of the ISPO Application, making them eligible to submit the Palm Oil Certification Application. If the Oil Palm Smallholder who has uploaded 52.2% of the valid required documents to the Monitoring Information System, whereis 30.4% of the uploaded documents are invalid and 17.4% of the documents still not submitted, showing them are not eligible to submit the ISPO Certification Application until the mandatory requirements are fulfilled. This system will help independent smallholders meet ISPO certification requirements and track their progress. Smallholders who meet the mandatory criteria can apply for ISPO Certification; those who do not must fulfill these requirements first.

Description:
If the Oil Palm Smallholder who has uploaded 52.
2% of the valid required documents to the Monitoring Information System, whereis 30.
4% of the uploaded documents are invalid and 17.
4% of the documents still not submitted, showing them are not eligible to submit the ISPO Certification Application until the mandatory requirements are fulfilled.
This system will help independent smallholders meet ISPO certification requirements and track their progress.
Smallholders who meet the mandatory criteria can apply for ISPO Certification; those who do not must fulfill these requirements first.
