This article is an attempt to emphasize the level of preference for shifting cultivation, rubber cultivation, and mixed cultivation. This study shown that there is a connection between male and female respondents to grow rubber plantations. Rubber plantation is a growing sector in Tripura. Large number of shifting cultivators are shifted in rubber plantations. Out of them many are involved in mixed cultivation. Majority are still involved in shifting cultivation. Mixed cultivation means other types of cultivation with rubber cultivation. There are preferences for cultivations among different age groups. In this study, it has found that there is no significant relationship between the preferences of various types of cultivation. There is an important relationship between respondents and preferences for cultivation of various types. It is concluded that there is no significant relationship between the respondents' ownership. The researchers used explanatory and logical statistics for some conclusions.
