Formation of recreational and resource potential of sea embankments in the urban environment
View through CrossRef
The article considers the problems of formation of comfortable and well-maintained embankments in the urban environment. The subject of the study is the factors of development of tourist and recreational resources in the organization of the embankment territory, statistical data on the most important areas that require attention when creating a single urban environment, taking into account transport accessibility and pedestrian safety. In recent years, the topic of creating comfortable public spaces in cities has become increasingly relevant. With the increase in number of tourists in the coastal area cities, issues of environmental safety, protection of the urban environment and preservation of nature of embankments are also becoming especially relevant. The tasks of functional organization of coastal zones, making them appealing to citizens and tourists become a priority when creating public urban spaces. Embankments in the city perform the wellness function, being a source of fresh air, their green corridors create conditions for ventilation of urban environment. The article presents the results of a population survey in order to determine if the improvements meets the ideas of citizens and tourists about a comfortable coastal area. It is shown that a poorly organized coastal area cannot perform the functions of a tourist and recreational zone. Proposals are given for improving the aesthetic appearance of the coastal area environment and improving the organization of embankment infrastructure in combination with engineering, communal and transport elements of the urban environment. On the embankments, it is possible to provide for the construction of housing, offices, cafes, shops, service points while maintaining visual connections with water landscapes and restoring biodiversity. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that the analysis of the factors of development of sea embankments made it possible to identify a number of problems that need to be solved, first of all, to create a comfortable and convenient space while preserving the natural and ecological balance.
