Cactus tree

The works of Naoko Matsubara from the collection of the MOMus Museum of Contemporary Art are a typical example of the work of the artist, who was mainly immersed in woodblock prints. She created both color and black and white prints, which, due to the intensity and "hardness" of the black color and the contrast with the white paper, challenge the viewer to observe them. Large sections of her works include trees, landscapes, hand studies as well as the Arctic, Kyoto and Tibet. Her series of trees are distinguished by their focus on the solidity of the trunk and branches as well as the growth of their foliage.
