Identifying And Prioritizing The Leadership Styles Of The Afghanistan Volleyball Federation

Introduction and purpose: Successful sports teams usually have one feature that distinguishes them from unsuccessful teams, and that is effective, active and competent management and leadership. The purpose of this research is to identify and prioritize the leadership styles of the Afghanistan Volleyball Federation. Research method:  Research method: The present research is a descriptive survey, the statistical population of this research consists of 30 players of the national volleyball team of Afghanistan in a targeted and accessible way. The method of collecting information is a researcher-made questionnaire. The scoring of the questionnaire is in the form of a 5-point Likert scale, where the score for each option is very high, 5 high, 4 medium, 3 low, 2 and very low 1. The validity of the questionnaire has been confirmed by physical education and sports science professors. The reliability of the questionnaire was obtained using Cronbach's alpha of 0.93. The analysis method was used to obtain averages of leadership styles in the Afghanistan Volleyball Federation using spss 26.  Findings: Based on the results obtained, the current research of the Afghanistan Volleyball Federation uses 5 sports leadership styles, which are: training and training leadership style, positive feedback leadership style, social support leadership style, democratic leadership style, authoritarian leadership style, prioritization style The leadership of the Afghanistan Volleyball Federation, according to the responses of the members of the Afghanistan National Volleyball Team, has been obtained with the average scale, which is in the following order: The style of training and practice has been obtained with the following average order. Education and training leadership index in the first place with an average of 3.6, positive feedback leadership index with an average of 3.5, social support leadership index with an average of 3.08 in the third place, democratic leadership index with an average of 3.07 in the fourth place, and authoritarian leadership index with an average of 3.01 in It is in fifth place.  Conclusion: Leadership styles play an important role in managing and directing teams and organizations. Each leadership style has a different effect on the behavior and performance of team members. Identifying and using appropriate leadership styles in volleyball can help improve the performance and success of the national team. Also, prioritizing leadership styles can improve communication and help improve the level of performance and development of volleyball in this country.
