The order Hymenoptera is one of the important insect groups on Earth. This order includes ants, wasps and honeybees. They are the most well-known social insects that can be found almost everywhere in the world and are ecologically dominant. Honeybees are vital creatures, particularly since they take part in the pollination of flowers. In addition, various bee products, especially honey, used in human nutrition and in the treatment of various diseases are obtained from honeybees. Ants and wasps play an significant role in keeping harmful insect populations under control. However, in addition to these useful features, many species of ants, wasps and honeybees have the ability to sting due to their stinging apparatus. For this reason, they are dangerous and harmful to vertebrates and invertebrates, especially humans. Honeybees in the Apis genus, yellow jackets (Vespinae), paper wasps (Polistes), and fire ants (Solenopsis) are hymenoptera with widespread stinging ability. When these hymenoptera sting humans or animals, they can cause various health problems, including even severe allergic reactions and anaphylaxis, which can be fatal.
