A Systematic Approach to Continuously Improve the Entropy Solvent Series
View through CrossRef
Thirteen (13) different blend formulations were made and subsequently subjected to rigid and rigorous testing and compared with Solvent A and MEA as baselines. From the results, the CO2 capture efficiency for Solvent B was 32% higher than 5M MEA and 23% higher than Solvent A. The heat duty of the improved solvent was 35% lower than 5M MEA and 29% lower than Solvent A. The KGav of Solvent B was 135% higher than 5M MEA and 106% higher than Solvent A. While Solvent A is characterized with higher desorber-side mass transfer coefficient (55% higher than Solvent B), it is limited by its relatively lower capture efficiency and higher heat duty than the newly improved Solvent B. Therefore, all in all, our newly improved solvent, Solvent B shows a remarkably higher performance than Solvent A and the benchmark 5M MEA solvent.
Title: A Systematic Approach to Continuously Improve the Entropy Solvent Series
