Folded changeant with laser design

View through Europeana Collections
(a=b) Two pieces of purple-grey changeover taffeta that have been folded lengthwise and widthwise several times. Then a design of curved rods was cut out with a laser. When unfolding the fabric, the design is mirrored several times in different directions. Depending on the angle under which one looks at the fabric, the color is more purple or more grey. (a) is still folded up. (c) The loose shapes which have been cut out of (a) and (b). (b) is a feeling sample.
