Obituary of the renowned historian and genealogist Prince Dmitrij Mihajlovich Shahovskoj (February 15, 1934 – March 31, 2026). He was born in France and lived his entire life in that country, serving as a professor at several educational institutions. However, he frequently visited Russia and worked in its archives. Dmitrij Mihajlovich is best known as a student and successor to the work of the noted genealogist N.F. Ikonnikov.
