Launaea sarmentosa (Asteraceae) has been extensively used as a nutrient herb in traditional remedies for the treatment of varied diseases. The aim of this study was to produce comprehensive scientific information on photochemistry, ancient uses and medical specialty activities of Launaea sarmentosa.
