Pierre-devenir-végétation : les maisons de Manuel Sendón

Les « Maisons Malades » ( Casas Doentes ) du photographe Manuel Sendón nous apportent une expérience d’association entre les maisons en ruines et les maisons réduites à des décombres et donc dévalorisées, voir stigmatisées parce que « malades ». Ces maisons témoignent, cependant, de la dynamique de deux forces en tension : la force humaine de la construction édifiante et la force de la nature dont la végétation cherche à occuper l’espace entrouvert par ces corps de pierre en état inhabité/dévitalisé. En même temps, décontextualisées d’un milieu environnant plus ample, les maisons observées semblent nous interroger, défiant la propre possibilité que, par le biais de la vision, le « cadre » compris se constitue comme un paysage.
