An example for the Berlin group is a model by Etienne Maurice Falconet (1717- 1791), “La Lanterne Magique,” for the formation in Bisquit in the KPM Sèvres of 1757, after a graphic presentation by Charles Nicolas Cochin d. J. (1715-1790) from 1742 after a lost composition by François Boucher (1704-1770): “La Foire de Campagne.” Their glaciation speaks for adherence to the traditional and a reluctance to the newer French taste as a characteristic of the Berlin manufactory at the time of Friedrich the Great. In the Viennese porcelain factory “La Lanterne Magique” was reformed between 1765 and 1770.
