All the studied varieties of tomato were attacked by the late blight although they differed in their susceptibility. Slightly attacked varieties (New Yorker, Rockingham, West Virginia 63, N. H. Surecrop), moderatly attacked ones (En-terprizer, Najwcześniejszy, Ottawa 50, Wisconsin 55, Rhode Island Early) and strongly attacked ones (V 656, Summerdawn, Highlander) were distinguished.
