Tiberias: General View.

A postcard containing a colorful lithograph based on a black and white photograph, showing a view outside the city of Tiberias. The picture shows the houses of the city, on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, as well as a section of the wall. Apparently, this print is based on a black and white photograph made by Felix Bonfils in the late nineteenth century. The postcard was printed in three languages (French, English and Italian), while its back stated that it was printed in Leipzig, Germany. This postcard was not used and there is no information as to the time it was produced. Presumably it was printed at the beginning of the second decade of the 20th century, before World War I. The postcard was donated to the collection in May 1976 by Dr. Ezra Millgram.
