Vas. Model “Amalfi,” No 1. A round, up to the fold that passes into a smooth surface. White glazed. Form Sven Erik Skawonius (1953). Not stamped. Sven Erik Skawonius (1908-1981, b in Gothenburg), a painter, a cartoonist, a master craftsman and a book illustrator, was employed in 1951 at the Karlskrona Porcelain Factory. 1953-1957 and 1962 he was the artistic director of the three Upsala Ekeby companies (Upsala Ekeby, Gefle and Karlskrona Porcelain factories). Karlskrona Porcelain Factory started in 1918. In 1942 the factory is incorporated with Upsala Ekeby AB. In June 1968, the production ends, which after 50 years covered about 500 models with about 7000 decorations and about 15000 ornaments for restaurants.
