Le présent article se penche sur un cas de collaboration intermédiatique relativement rare, celui d’une fiction narrative photographiquement illustrée. Elégie à Michel-Ange, le livre récent de l’écrivaine Sandrine Willems et de la photographe Marie-Françoise Plissart, est analysé ici à la lumière des contraintes, possibilités et sollicitations de ce genre d’ouvrages à quatre mains. L’accent est mis surtout sur la plus-value de la collaboration, qui transforme le travail ‘classique’ de chacune des artistes en une œuvre profondément originale.
