Sen, marzenie i zaświaty w literaturze — wprowadzenie do monografii

The study is divided into six parts. The first, brings closer in draft elaborated from the literature studiesthe researches analysisover the given in the title three issues. The second part, describes the motivesof sleep, dream and the other world in the literature from the Bible to the end of the Baroque, payingattention to the manner of their interpreting by the most important writers (Ovid, Virgil, Cicero, JohannesDantiscus, Marcin Bielski, Jan Kochanowski, Stanisław Herakliusz Lubomirski). In the way offunctioning sleep, dream and the other world in the literature to the end of the Baroque especially influencedtheir image in the Holy Bible and The Metamorphoses of Ovid, as well as The Odyssey of Homer. Onthe other rand, third part of the study evokes chosen examples of the motives’use in the literature fromthe Enlightenment to the Modern times. In this time three main titled issues were perceived in a pursuitto recognise human’s psychology, for that attempt appeared wit time a useful apparatus from the fieldof psychoanalysis and depth psychology. The fourth part presents sleep, dream and the other world inthe proverbs. The fifth part describes the conference, which was the starting point for preparation of thecurrent monograph attempt. The last part are acknowledgments addressed to the people engaged in theproject: the conference and the publication.
