Two Masted Brig, Zegri (?)

Brig in full sail, sailing from left to right towards distant coastline. More ships in background. Vessel has black hull with thick white line and square cannon openings. Figures on board. Grey, pink and yellow sky above. Rough grey/green sea and seagulls. The vessel is flying the de la Perrelle house flag on its main mast a pilot jack on the foremast. Although the main course was more usually split in tow by the 1860s, this is most likely to be the Zegri. ON 27129 in LIverpool in 1859 and bought by Edward de la Perrelle in 1865. She was lost on the north shore of ST Lawrence on 23rd October 1871
