Auto-brewery sindromas: endogeninė alkoholio gamyba

Auto-brewery sindromas arba alkoholio fermentacijos žarnyne sindromas yra reta medicininė būklė, kuri pasižymi endogenine alkoholio gamyba. Šis sindromas gali sukelti tuos pačius fizinius ir psichologinius simptomus, kurie pasireiškia, kai žmogus yra neblaivus arba pagiringas. Patogenezė siejama su virškinamojo trakto grybeline disbioze, kai alkoholį fermentuojančios mielės suvartotus angliavandenius paverčia etanoliu. Paprastai liga pasireiškia intoksikacijos nuo alkoholio požymiais, tačiau ankstyviausi simptomai gali būti nuotaikos pokyčiai, kliedesys arba smegenų rūkas. Diagnostikai svarbu angliavandenių provokavimo testas bei viršutinė ir apatinė endoskopija su mėginiais kultūrai ir jautrumui nustatyti. Tai būklė, kurią galima gydyti pakeitus mitybą, taikant tinkamą priešgrybelinį gydymą ir galbūt probiotikus.
