In the period 1961-1968 Daniel created the first series of boxes, which is called "Pandora's Boxes Compasses". These are simple paper boxes of cheap packaging, on which he intervenes with colours (black, white, red) and which he tears with a knife, punctures and crumples, leaving the inside to be seen. He organizes the whole in strict, geometric frames, intensifying to the maximum the contrasts and the dramatic character of the three-dimensional composition.
