POST MEDIEVAL MINIATURE OBJECT

Incomplete Post Medieval miniature bone mirror from a chaetlaine set. Mirror has a large circular disc with a central hole, probably for riveling on a polished bronze disc, now lost. The top of the disc has a small crown like motif carved on it. The handle is decorative, double waisted in design, it is missing the very tip of the handle. The obverse side has an incised line separating the mirror disc from the handle but this is absent on the reverse side. The disc has some tool marks visible and is partly bevelled.Length: 57.97mm, Diameter of disc: 34.9mm, Thickness: 2.49mm, Weight: 4.46g
