ENCEFALITE HERPÉTICA POR HSV-1 – RELATO DE CASO

Apresentamos um relato sobre encefalite herpética em um paciente de 48 anos, previamente hígido, morador de Osvaldo Cruz, interior de São Paulo, cujo único sintoma foi tontura de inicio súbito e limitante para deambulação. Não houve apresentação dos sinais comuns de uma encefalite herpética, como alterações de cognição, febre, cefaleias, convulsões e sinais focais. Com o desfecho, o paciente depois de tratado e alta hospitalar, se recuperou em sua totalidade, não apresentando qualquer sequela limitante.
