Preservation Microfilming for Archives and Manuscripts

View through CrossRef
Cooperative microfilming projects offer one way to cope with the vast amount of archival materials that need preservation. Deciding whether to film a collection as part of a cooperative project depends on evaluation of the collection's intrinsic and intellectual value and how it fits into the repository's collection management program. Planning the filming project is a complex process of determining staff, space, time, and equipment needs, as well as contracting for microfilming services.
