Unfinished painting

View through Harvard Museums
An unfinished painting on canvas. The painting is currently unstretched but shows evidence of having been mounted on a stretcher suring the painting process. Numerous creases throughout the painted canvas also suggest that the unfinished work was once folded. The painting is predominantly red, with a dark blue vertical stripe at the far right side (as currently mounted) and there appears to be a white priming layer that extends from the left side of the red field to about a cm left of the blue field. There is dirt and other residue embedded in the paint surface overall.
