X-chromosomale juvenile Retinoschisis

Zusammenfassung Die X-chromosomale juvenile Retinoschisis (XLRS) ist ein Krankheitsbild innerhalb der vitreoretinalen Dystrophien. Typischerweise liegen retinoschisisartige Veränderungen am hinteren Augenpol und teils auch in der Peripherie vor. Zusätzlich können ein goldener Fundusreflex und in seltenen Fällen weitere retinale Veränderungen vorhanden sein. Ursächlich ist eine Mutation im RS1-Gen. Die Vererbung erfolgt X chromosomal rezessiv, daher sind ausschließlich Männer betroffen. Klinisch präsentiert sich eine unspezifische Visuseinschränkung im Kindesalter. Bei Verdacht auf eine XLRS sollte frühzeitig eine retinale Diagnostik mit OCT durchgeführt werden. Therapeutische Ansätze beinhalten primär Carboanhydrasehemmer. Gentherapien stellen eine potentiell kausale Therapieoption dar.
