Patient Management System for a Channeling Center - MediCu

Health is a significant fact of human life. When we consider the major roles such as patients, doctors, pharmacists, and laboratories, there are many problems in channeling centers such as the poor connection between doctors and their parents, the difficulty of gathering patient’s medical history, medical reports misplacing, patients are waiting at the queue long time till issue medicine, reading issues of doctor’s prescriptions, manual process of calculating doctor fee is time-consuming, difficulties of gathering laboratory reports and risks from using manual documents are major problems that I identified. So, I thought of implementing web-based and stand-alone systems to resolve issues in channeling Centers because of these problems. The name of the system I have implemented is MediCu.<br><br>This study focuses on patient management in a channeling center. The system performs many functions like stock, printing invoices, backup, doctor details, and patient details. In the procedure, the patient can put an appointment to meet a doctor. The output of the doctor’s prescription and Invoice from the pharmacy can be obtained through the system at the minimum time. And, in case of an emergency patient, check the available pharmacies and laboratories around the radius of 10km centered him through the Google map connect to this system. In this case, the location of the patient or user is detecting using GPS. If the doctor logs in to the system, the doctor can search patients by their ID and, he/she can get details about the patient’s medical history. If the pharmacist logs in to the system, he/she can view the name, age, invoices, drug details once he enters the patient ID into the system. When a laboratory enters the system, they can add reports of patients through the system. The system will also provide the payment of the doctors each day. The fee of each doctor base on the number of patients the doctor checked. And patients receive appointment fee details as an email MediCu webpage.<br><br>This automation payment process reduces the time spends on the manual process. The automation process of prescribing the system has many benefits like reducing cost, time, and human errors. And the other thing is any expensive hardware does not involve with this system. Therefore, resource consumption will be reduced.<br><br>Testing of the system is carried out in conjunction with the development of Agile methodology. According to that, this system is easy to manage the channeling center with their related parties. And it is also user-friendly and efficient. The patient management system has a strong relationship with the patients, doctors, and other associated parties. Therefore, the system will be a better approach to build a perfect bond between doctors and patients.
