Celem artykułu jest opis potencjału komunikacyjnego tekstów wyrosłych na bazie receptur kulinarnych zebranych w książce Grzegorczyk-Wosiek Historia na talerzu. Dążyć będziemy do rekonstrukcji mechanizmów przywołań kresowej pamięci rodzinnej poprzez medium kulinarnych receptur przywiezionych w repatrianckich kufrach. Opowiemy o uznanych za znaczące elementach topografii kresowej, o wartościach i codzienności ziemiańskich kresów utrwalonych w rodzinnym przekazie. Rozstrzygniemy dylematy genologiczne narracji Grzegorczyk-Wosiek, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem mariażu literatury dokumentu osobistego (diariusz, wspomnienie) z piśmiennictwem użytkowym (przepisy kulinarne), tradycją oralną (gawęda) i spojrzeniem z perspektywy kobiet (herstory). Wykorzystamy instrumentarium właściwe dla literaturoznawstwa, medioznawstwa i antropologii kulinarnej.
