Faux et usage de faux en art cynégétique : le Pseudokinegheticos d'Alexandru Odobescu

View through CrossRef
Intended at first as a mere foreword to a hunting treatise, the Rumanian writer Alexandru Odobescu s Pseudokinegheticos (1874) expanded into a book-length essay, but is not what it seems to be: rather a book about books than a book about hunting, rather au indoor ramble through library shelves than an outdoor ramble up like and down dale, more " browsing" than hunting. The book is a kind of hotch-potch or boax, replete with learning and quotations in every language, and with a strong lexical bent, culminating in a last chapter said to lie the most attractive to the reader, and only made out of dots.
