Marble and mosaic decorate Moscow subway's sumptuous new station._x000D_
Sumptuously decorated and bearing the appearance of a luxury hotel, a new station of the Moscow subway extension has been completed. Columns of marble support the roof and the floor is inlaid with mosaic, while great pendants flood the platform with a soft diffused light through frosted glass. The new station is the "Kievskaya", named after L. M. Kaganovich, People's Commissar for Railways, and runs from Smolensk Square to the Square at Kiev Railway Station._x000D_
