Lettering: An important message for gay and bisexual men. Cultures are known not only by their art and architecture but also by the way they respond in a time of crisis. History will define gay men's response to AIDS as nothing less than extraordinary ... we must make sure that not one more gay man becomes infected with the virus that causes AIDS. Excuses. Research shows that some gay men still have unsafe sex. Unsafe sex must be completely eliminated if we are to triumph over AIDS. There are no excuses. Slipping: this is what some gay men call occassional unsafe sex ... Fatalism: Some people who know or think they've been infected mistakenly think that safe sex doesn't matter anymore ... If you come up with a new excuse to continue unsafe sex, call your local AIDS hotline - they want to hear from you.
