Cognitive-discursive features of Donald Trump and Joseph Biden's inaugural speeches

статья посвящена изучению когнитивно-дискурсивных особенностей инаугурационных речей Д. Трампа и Дж. Байдена, кандидатов в президенты США 3 ноября 2021. Актуальность работы связана с необходимостью изучения структуры текста, скрытых смыслов и приемов, используемых в речах политических лидеров. В данной статье используются такие методы исследования, как дискурс-анализ и когнитивный подход к изучению политического дискурса, которые представляют собой анализ языковых и синтаксических особенностей политических речей кандидатов в президенты США. Научная новизна работы отличается тем от других исследований, что в ней впервые анализируются инаугурационные речи кандидатов в президенты США с точки зрения когнитивно-дискурсивного подхода к анализу политической речи. Целью данной статьи является рассмотрение инаугурационных речей политических лидеров от Демократической и Республиканской партий, Д. Трампа и Д. Байдена, с точки зрения когнитивно- дискурсивного анализа политической речи. В результате анализа инаугурационных речей Д. Трампа и Д. Байдена выявлены лингвистические средства и стилистические фигуры политического дискурса, представленные в таблицах; алгоритм построения инаугурационной речи на примерах англоязычной коммуникации политических выступления кандидатов в президенты США. В выводе представлены основные различия между инаугурационной речью Д. Трампа и Дж. Байдена, проанализированы коммуникативные стратегии и тактики, обозначены микророли, исполняемые политическими лидерами от Демократической и Республиканской партий, на каждом отрезке речи в данной статье. the article is devoted to the study of the cognitive-discursive features of the inaugural speeches of D. Trump and J. Biden, candidates for the presidency of the United States on November 3, 2021.The relevance of the work is associated with the need to study the structure of the text, hidden meanings and techniques used in the speeches of political leaders. This article uses such research methods as discourse analysis and cognitive approach to the study of political discourse, which are the analysis of linguistic and syntactic features of political speeches of US presidential candidates. The scientific novelty of the work differs from other studies in that it is the first to analyze the inaugural speeches of US presidential candidates from the point of view of the cognitive-discursive approach to the analysis of political speech. The purpose of this article is to consider the inaugural speeches of political leaders from the Democratic and Republican parties, D. Trump and J. Biden, from the point of view of cognitive-discursive analysis of political speech. As a result the analysis of the inaugural speeches of Biden and Trump revealed the linguistic means and stylistic figures of the political discourse of U.S. presidential candidates in the tables; the algorithm for constructing the inaugural on the examples of English-language communication of political speeches of J. Biden and D. Trump. The conclusion presents the main differences between the inaugural speech of D. Trump and J. Biden analyzes communication strategies and tactics, identifies the microroles performed by the leaders from the Democratic and Republican parties of the USA at each segment of speech in this article.
