The aim of this study is to analyze the physiological-kinematic actions, temporal characteristics of the game, and serve performance of elite tennis players during matches. The study includes athletes competing in the Tennis Europe Junior or International Tennis Federation Junior tournaments. A total of 24 athletes participated in the study, with 15 from Turkey and 9 from other countries (Italy, Russia, the Netherlands, and Ukraine). The participants were aged between 2006 and 2012, with a gender distribution of 12 female and 12 male athletes. The athletes played a total of 24 singles matches on hard court surfaces, according to the rules of the International Tennis Federation. The athletes' physiological-kinematic actions during the match were determined using GPS (Garmin Forerunner 305) monitor and heart rate monitor, while the temporal characteristics of the game and serve performance variables were determined using video recording analysis method. The statistical analysis of the data was conducted using the SPSS package program. The averages of the physiological-kinematic actions, temporal characteristics of the game, and serve performance of the athletes during the matches were determined. It was found that the average running speeds (km/h) and maximum running speeds (km/h) of male athletes were higher than those of female athletes (p<0,05). No significant differences were found between female and male athletes in other physiological-kinematic action variables (p>0,05). It was determined that female athletes had higher total match duration and time out of play compared to male athletes, leading to a higher rest time in the work-rest ratio compared to male athletes (p< 0,05). No significant differences were found between female and male athletes in other variables of the temporal characteristics of the game (p>0,05). It was revealed that male athletes had a higher point-winning ratio with the second serve in the 1st set compared to female athletes (p<0,05). No significant differences were found between female and male athletes in other variables of serve performance (p>0,05). No significant differences were found between nationalities in the physiological-kinematic variables of the athletes (p>0,05). No significant differences were found between nationalities in the variables of the temporal characteristics of the game (p>0,05). It was observed that athletes from other nationalities (Italy, Russia, the Netherlands, and Ukraine) had a higher point-winning ratio with the first serve in the 2nd set compared to Turkish athletes (p<0,05). No significant differences were found between nationalities in other variables of serve performance (p>0,05). No significant relationship was found between the physiological-kinematic variables of the athletes and the total match experience in the specified tournament (p> 0,05). It was determined that as the match experience of female athletes increased, the time in play (min) and rally durations increased (p<0,05). No significant relationship was found in other variables of the temporal characteristics of the game in female athletes (p>0,05). In male athletes, no significant relationship was revealed between total match experience in the specified tournament (p>0,05). These findings may raise awareness of the importance of energy systems, activity-rest profiles, and first-second serve performance in tennis, and are suggested to be guiding in optimizing training.
