Paint trial on stretched canvas

Paint trial on cotton duck canvas, stretched onto a five membered wooden strainer with butt joins and one cross bar. Canvas is attached on strainer sides with staples. One half of top surface is artist primed. Approximately ten sample color arrangements, with blue and red arrangements on the white priming and red, yellow, and blue arrangements on the unprimed side. Verso is painted with shades of red acrylic paint (estimated by solvent test). The canvas has frayed edges and stains overall. Cracking and lifting on verso has previously been consolidated.
