Konflik Sistem Pemerintahan: Antara Sistem Syura & Demokrasi

Obedience to the leader is an order from Allah as set forth in the al-Quran al-Sunnah. It aims to ensure the stability of the Muslims lives in a country. Nevertheless, the reality of the Islamic state system is based on a democratic system that has different characteristics of the caliphate system and democratic system. So, what is the characterastic of the conflict between caliphate system and democratic system? The objective of this study is to examine the similarities and differences between caliphate country and democratic country. This study then analysis the conflict in democratic system.This study analyses the turath books and current writings to obtain a clear picture of the differences between democratic country and the country of caliphate.Inductive method is used to determain the process of appointing leaders in a democratic system and caliphate system The study found that there was a significant difference between the democratic country system and the caliphate system.
