Methodological Foundations of Teaching Foreign Languages in the Context of Digital Linguodidactics

Rapid transformation of the traditional didactics of foreign language teaching in the age of digitalization has necessitated a revision of the methodological foundations of linguodidactics. The author aims to analyze the new methodological principles, approaches and factors in digital linguodidactics and compare them with the traditional ones. The study revealed motivationg and demotivating factors affecting student learning and faculty performance in a digital educational environment, and demonstrated a relationship between most traditional and digital principles, demonstrating new didactic possibilities in foreign language teaching based on digital didactic principles and approaches.
